It's a beautiful book. Bombyx tells us about her life evolution in first person, and it is so tender that you want to enter (for the first time or to repeat 😝), in the adventure of taking care of silkworms! Besides, the photos are real photos taken with the Danioscope (homemade microscope designed by the author of the book). And on top of that, it is a scientific story that helps to get the kids interested in science.

I bought it because my 6 year old grandson has silkworms and is delighted with them. And to expand his information about these little animals I gave him this little book. He is very excited about it and as he already knows how to read he takes it to bed and reads it by himself because he is excited about it. So I am very happy with the purchase. We have been looking for more animal books from this publisher. Let's see if they publish more.

As a teacher and director of an educational school I had been looking for a book like this for a long time. Realistic, with authentic photos and that tells a real and incredible story like the metamorphosis of silkworms. I hope and wish that the author makes more of this style so that we can fill the school library with scientific books that awaken the interest of children. It is the book that cannot be missing in homes or schools this spring and if it is accompanied by the real experience of taking care of these worms, so much the better. We are going to work on it at school and when our students know how to take care of them we will surprise them with these little animals. I love the book and its story, it is told in beautiful and simple words. I will read it to my 3 year old students and I think they will love it. Also the illustrations are inspired by the drawings of a 7 year old girl, what a fantastic idea. I highly recommend it.
